This is the first exhibition of the Burngreave Photographic Group which formed in July this year. The group is made of up of Burngreave residents ranging from experienced freelance photographers, to artists using cameras, to people who just like to take pictures.

The Group came together to exhibit in the Burngreave Cemetery Chapel, which many hope can become a regular venue for creative people to show off their talents. While photography is generally a solitary pursuit, the experience of doing things together provides support and recognition for what we strive for on our own.

It is hoped ‘First Sight’ will the first of many activities for the Group, perhaps including further exhibitions, trips or workshops. If you would like to join leave your contact details at the Chapel or come to a meeting on Tuesday 21st September at Abbeyfield Park House, 6.30pm, to help plan something for the future, everyone welcome.
